The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager with dotted lines to the Corporate Controller, the Branch Controller is responsible for directing the accounting activities of our Denver office. The ideal candidate has built and developed a high-performing accounting team, embraces ambiguity, and solves problems through systematic improvements. The candidate will possess a solid knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards as well as a solid background in financial controls and department operations.
Compensation & Benefits
- $120,000-$140,000 salary + bonus

Responsibilities
- Directly oversees all accounting functions for our Denver office, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger
- Oversees branch financial systems and general ledger activities and the development of financial reports and analysis
- Acts as a branch financial leader responsible for oversight and implementation of all financial control policies and procedures
- Ensures branch-wide controls, auditing, and risk management steps are implemented
- Interprets, analyzes, and reports on financial results to the General Manager and Corporate Finance
- Establish, support, and develop an accounting team while driving efficiency & automation to keep up with the demands of a high-growth business
- Establish and document ongoing accounting processes and procedures
- Oversee the monthly financial close process in an accurate and timely manner
- Owns the general ledger (GL) and recording of all business transactions, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and FASB accounting requirements, and internal policies.
- Support annual external audit for branch-related requests
- Contribute to the preparation of key financial deliverables for the branch - KPI analyses, annual plans and forecasts, and ROI assessments for various initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in-home services environments preferred
- Experience scaling and developing high-performing professional accounting team
- Prior experience implementing system conversions
- M&A and integration experience
- Prior experience with a private equity-sponsored company
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience leading an accounting team
- Willingness to undergo background and drug tests in accordance with state and federal law
